Workshops

Workshops are intended for large projects or groups of projects with multiple partners on special topics and having at least 8 contributions. Worldwide contributions are welcome, too.

Workshops will strengthen the event and provide more visibility for the Workshops Chairs and the Committee Members.

Workshops can only be organized by current members of the conference Technical Program Committee.

The benefits of the Workshop Chair(s) include:

  • With at least 8 registered contributions, one contribution is granted at no cost.
  • The Chair(s) will be the editor(s) of the Proceedings of the event series.

The responsibilities of the Workshop Chair(s) include:

  • Decide on a topic.
  • Invite members of the Workshop Technical Program Committee (if applicable). In the absence of a Workshop Technical Program Committee, the Technical Program Committee of the main event will substitute and provide the necessary duties.
  • Identify and invite potential contributors.
  • Disseminate the Workshop Call for Submissions.
  • Participate in the peer-review process.

You are invited to participate in this initiative as a Workshop Chair to gather contributions and organize a workshop on a topic you and your partners are working on.

To indicate your availability and intention to take part in this effort, please contact us for additional instructions.

Thematic Sessions

Thematic Sessions are intended for dedicated teams working on special topics and consist of at least 4-5 contributions. Contributions outside the team, on the same topic, are welcome.

Thematic Sessions will strengthen the event and provide more visibility for the Thematic Session Chairs and their teams.

Thematic Sessions can only be organized by current members of the conference Technical Program Committee.

  • With at least 3 registered contributions, one contribution is granted at no cost.

Demos

We welcome demo papers accompanied by short demo shows. Demo papers should focus on practical use cases and experiments resulting in dedicated tools.

Special oral presentation slots will be allotted for each demo contribution. Demos will be followed by additional in-depth open discussions.

A demo paper proposal should be original, unpublished work not currently under review by other conferences or journals and should be accompanied by a final or in-progress (ready to be presented) demo tool.

All proposals will be assessed based on originality, technical soundness, clarity, and interest to a wide audience.

All submissions should be in English and observe the standard IEEE two-column, conference template, available for download from the IEEE website:
https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html

Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process.

Demo papers are limited to 3 pages. The title should begin with “Demo: <Title>”.

Submissions must be done electronically via the submission system of the event for which the demo is submitted.

The actual demo presentations should be possible using the contributors’ materials (devices and software). Alternatively, or additionally, a video (no longer than 5 minutes) could be used to show the demo in action.

To indicate your availability and intention to take part in this effort, please contact us for additional instructions.
