The use of chatbots is state of the art to produce illustrations and pictures. When using these chatbots to draw technical illustrations, the results are often wrong. However, using chatbots to derive CAD-models is appealing to support and automize the design process, e. g. of machinery. This paper analyses the current state of the art and the requirements for such a use case with a systems engineering approach.
